Game Goal
Backgammon Blitz is our competitive take on a board game classic.
The goal of the game is simple: score more points than your opponent to win!
Basic Rules:
-
Roll dice to move your red checkers.
-
The black checker tries to capture your checkers.
-
The goal only opens when all of your checkers are on the goal side.
-
End the match by moving all the checkers into the goal.
-
Each match has a 4 minute time limit.
Fairness
Each match of Backgammon Blitz is played against another player to see who can get the highest score.
-
You are matched against players of similar skill, but you may not be playing at the same time.
-
Both players get the same rolls in the same order.
-
Placement of checkers at the start is random but is the same for both players.
How To Play
Rolling:
-
You start each round by rolling two dice.
-
Checkers can move the distance shown on the die.
-
Rolling doubles gets you 4 moves.

-
The black checker is the computer opponent, not another player.
-
The black checker rolls two dice on each turn to move.
Captures:
-
Land on the black checker to score a capture.
-

-
If your checkers get captured too many times, you lose points.
Blocking:
-

-

-
The more blocks you get in a row, the more points you score.
Bearing Off:
-
The goal opens when all your checkers are on the goal side of the board.
-
You can move to the goal from an exact roll or from the backmost stack.
-
If one of your checkers is captured on the goal side, the goal closes.
