Pipe Cube Game Rules

Game Goal

Pipe Cube is a fast flowing puzzle game which challenges your skill and speed.

The goal of the game is simple: score more points than your opponent to win!

Basic Rules:

  • Drag pipes to connect the flow.

  • Watch out for spills.

  • End the match by completing all three rounds.

  • Spilling on the 2nd or 3rd rounds will end the match.

  • Each match has a 3 minute time limit.

Fairness

Each match of Pipe Cube is played against another player to see who can get the highest score.

  • You are matched against players of similar skill, but you may not be playing at the same time.

  • Both players get the same pipes in the same order.

  • Placement of the starting faucet and end goal in each round is random but is the same for both players.

How To Play

Connect the Flow:

  • Drag and drop pipes onto the board.

  • Make use of different pipe types to connect the flow.

  • Avoid spilling and reach the goal.

Timing:

  • The Fast Forward button increases the speed of the flow.

  • Only fast forward when you’ve reached the goal.

Spare Pipes:

  • Sometimes the pipes you’re given won’t help you reach the goal.

  • Place these pipes onto empty spaces on the board for use later.

  • Empty pipes can be moved but not turned.

Scoring

Great scores are around 20,000 points. If you can score over 30,000 points, you’re a Pipe Cube Master!

There is only one source of points in Pipe Cube: Game Score.

Game Score:

  • Determined by the number of pipes placed, pipe bonus, goal bonus, and round multipliers.

Placed Pipes:

  • Without any multipliers, you receive +5 points for the first pipe.

  • Every pipe after the first is worth +5 points more than the previous

    • You’re awarded +10 points for the second pipe.

    • You’re awarded +15 points for the third pipe.

  •  Increase the length of your flow to get more points.

Pipe Bonus:

  • If your flow connects to the goal, you receive a pipe bonus.

  • The pipe bonus is worth +50 points per pipe

    • You’re awarded +500 points for 10 pipes

Goal Bonus:

  • You receive a goal bonus for completing the flow.

  • You receive between +100 and +200 points on round 1

  • You receive between +200 and +400 points on round 2

  • You receive between +400 and +600 points on round 3

Round Multipliers

  • In rounds 2 and 3 the point awards are multiplied.

  • You receive a 2x multiplier for round 2

  • You receive a 3x multiplier for round 3

Strategy

  • Extend your flow to be as long as possible. This is key to reaching high scores.

  • The flow is always moving so don’t stop; always be placing pipes.

  • You can place pipes on empty areas of the board to give yourself more possibilities later.

  • Take your time and max out the pipe bonus, especially in round 1.

  • Play through the tutorial to hone your skills.

  • Play through the first round as quickly as possible to maximize your pipe bonus in round 2 and 3 for higher scores.

  • Plan your optimal path! Once you can visualize the pipe path, incoming pieces can be placed on the desired spot and you’ll spend less time moving spare pieces around.

You can also play cash games to watch replays and learn your opponent's strategies.

Finally, practice makes perfect! Pipe Cube is a game of skill; the better you are, the more you win.
