Game Goal

Question Cube is a fast fun and competitive quiz game that will test your knowledge and your speed.

The goal of the game is simple: score more points than your opponent to win!

Basic Rules:

• Each game has questions from six major topics.

• Pick one topic to Blitz, one to Bonus, and one to Ban.

• Answer these questions as fast as you can to win points.

• If you get three wrong answer the match ends

• End the match by answering all seven questions.

• Each match lasts around 3 minutes.

Fairness

Each match of Question Cube is played against another player to see who can get the highest score.

• You are matched against players of similar skill, but you may not be playing at the same time.

• Both players get the same categories.

• Questions are random but are the same for both players.

• To prevent cheating, you cannot pause in the middle of a question.

How To Play

Topic Choices:

• Every match features questions from six random topics.

• You get to decide which three topics to receive questions from.

• Drag topics to the three slots to assign boosts.

Blitz Topic:

• The first choice is choosing your Blitz Topic.

• You get three questions from the Blitz Topic.

• You only have 10 seconds to answer each of these questions.

Bonus Topic

• The second choice is choosing your Bonus Topic.

• The bonus topic comes last and the points are doubled.

• Pick a topic you’re good at for your bonus topic.

Ban Topic

• Finally you get to choose a Ban Topic.

• You won’t receive any questions from your Ban Topic.

• Ban the topic you feel the least comfortable answering.

Answering Questions

• You have 20 seconds to answer questions, except your Blitz Topic.

• You earn more points for answering faster.

• You get a combo multiplier for answering many questions correctly in a row.

• If you get a question wrong you break the combo and get a strike.

• 3 strikes end the match.

Scoring

Question Cube scores vary depending on questions. In general a great score is anything between 3,000 and 4,000 but it’s possible to go higher. 4,200 points is a perfect score!

There are three sources of points in Question Cube:

1. Result

2. Time

3. Combos

Result:

• You can only earn points if you answer the question correctly.

• Answering incorrectly earns a strike and breaks your combo.

Time:

• Points gained for answering a question correctly is determined by your timing.

• You earn the # of seconds remaining x10 points.

  • e.g. +170 points for answering a question correctly with 17 seconds left.

Combos:

• Combos reward points for chaining correct answers together.

• Your combo is determined by the number of questions answered correctly in a row.

• Your combo also determines the multiplier.

  • You gain a 2x multiplier for a 2 round combo.

  • You gain a 3x multiplier for a 3 round combo.

Strategy

• Choose your specialty topics to stack the questions in your favor.

• Make use of combos to score high.

• Don’t rush, always prioritize getting the question right.

• Getting a question wrong is more hurtful than missing a few points from timing.

You can also play cash games to watch replays and learn your opponent's strategies.
