Game Goal
Word Cube 2 is a competitive Scrabble-style word game that tests your speed and vocabulary!
The goal of the game is simple: score more points than your opponent to win!
Basic Rules:
-
Place lettered tiles on the board to create words.
-
Matches begin with 2-3 words in play to get you started.
-
You play 5 turns back to back.
-
The match ends when you finish all five turns or run out of time.
-
Standard matches have a 5 minute time limit.
Fairness
Each match of Word Cube 2 is played against another player to see who can get the highest score.
-
You are matched against players of similar skill, but you may not be playing at the same time.
-
Both players receive the same lettered tiles in the same order.
-
Initial placement of words is randomized but is the same for both players.
-
Placement of tiles and word multipliers on the board is the same in every match.
-
Timer continues to run even while the game is paused to prevent cheating.
How to Play
Making Words:
-
Drag tiles onto the board.
-
Spell words using the tiles in your hand and the tiles on the board.
-
Each lettered tile is worth a different number of points, shown in the top right corner.
-
Each board starts with random words to get you started.
Special Letters:
-
Some tiles are randomly turned silver when drawn.
-
These special tiles are worth 7 points instead of their normal value.
-
Blanks are wild and can be changed to any letter when placed.
Letter & Word Multipliers:
-
There are 4 types of multiplier tiles found on the board.
-
When a letter or word is placed on these tiles, their value is multiplied.
-
See Scoring for more details.
Recalling Letters:
-
The recall button takes all tiles you placed in a round, and recalls them to your hand.
-
Use this button to save time if you mess up.
Shuffling Letters:
-
If you're stuck, use the shuffle button to see your current tiles in a different order.
-
Shuffling your tiles can help you see new letter combinations and find better words!
Swapping Letters:
-
If you’re stuck, you can swap out your tiles for new ones.
-
When you swap out tiles you spend one turn; only use this as a last resort.
-
You can swap out as many tiles as you want.
